Morocco Surf Seasons
Blessed with both NW- and SW-facing coastline, whatever the conditions, there is nearly always somewhere to surf.
In the winter months (October–April), the waves that made Morocco famous really come to life. World-class surf and favourable conditions become an everyday occurrence. It’s a great time of year for all abilities.
The summer months (May–September) bring small to medium swells, with most surfing on the beaches and reefs of the more exposed north-west coast. It’s a great time for anyone looking for fun, uncrowded, warm-water waves.

During the prime swell season, while Europe’s water temps drop to around 8–9°C, Morocco’s water rarely falls below 16°C, with air temperatures staying above 20°C.
